Our Story
The Idea
During Michael's wedding in Greece, he and Arran found themselves taking mortgage calls between celebrations. They realised there had to be a simpler way to buy property. That idea became Square.
Reinventing Mortgages
We launched the Middle East's first digital mortgage platform as part of the Wamda X programme. For the first time, buyers could compare mortgage options and complete their applications through a single digital experience.
Proving the Model
Within just 10 months, we facilitated over AED 200 million in mortgages during the pandemic. It proved there was strong demand for a faster, simpler, and more transparent way to secure property financing.
Rapid Growth
We facilitated over AED 550 million in mortgages in our first full year. We also launched a white-label platform, the first step towards the technology that now powers businesses across the region.
Regional Expansion
We joined the Fintech Saudi Accelerator programme and began building the Kingdom's first digital mortgage brokerage. It was our first step towards bringing our technology and expertise to a wider regional audience.
Beyond Mortgages
We launched HUB, connecting property buyers with trusted real estate partners. It marked the beginning of our evolution into today's property buying ecosystem.
